We are aiming to explore differences in soil carbon stocks with hemlock removal by logging or with the woolly adelgid. This is part of the broader Belowground Soil Carbon Observation Network (BeCON) to better understand soil carbon stocks across the Harvard Forest and how they change over space and time as a function of disturbance and succession.
