This project will estimate change over time in soil bulk density and total soil carbon and nitrogen concentrations for the three grazing treatments at Harvard Farm: hay (no grazing), rotational grazing, and intensive grazing. Samples will be collected ten years following transition from an intensively managed grassland into managed pasture.
