Understanding the relationship between leaf phenology and annual tree growth is essential for predicting the long-term impacts of climate change on carbon storage in forests. However, no existing dataset integrates long-term records of both annual growth and leaf phenology for individual trees across species. We propose to core trees with established long-term phenology data to obtain their corresponding annual growth information. This dataset will provide valuable insights into how phenology-growth relationships vary across species and over time, enhancing our knowledge of forest carbon dynamics in a changing climate.
