Joshua Rapp - Abstract:
We are studying relationships among environmental conditions, stored resources, and allocation to reproduction in sugar maple, Acer saccharum. Broadly, we are interested in the relative contributions of endogenous (within-individual and within-population) feedbacks vs. external environmental drivers in determining patterns of seed production, and the implications of these mechanisms for long-term population and community dynamics, and responses to environmental change.
